The Gillard Award is by nomination of the Home Tour Committee. It is presented to a business or group which has demonstrated an overwhelming commitment to the historic homes in Willimantic and has worked to ensure the continued success of the Victorian Home Tour and other projects.

Attorney Sam Schrager - 2005

for his continuous belief in and generous sponsorship of the Victorian Home Tour since its inception, and his enthusiasm for the WVNA’s mission. Attorney Schrager was also the driving legal force behind the acquisition of the non-profit status for the Willimantic Victorian Neighborhood Association

The previous recipient and namesake of the award is Bob Gillard of O.L. Willard Co., Inc., a charter sponsor of the Home Tour and supporter of the community and the neighborhood through its Paint Incentive Program.

Michele Palmer & Lori Garris - 2007

in appreciation for their stunning publication Gingerbread Gems of Willimantic which highlights the Victorian history and architecture of the Windham community. The book features gorgeous photos and text of a significant number of Victorian homes in Wilimantic and the Windhams and has received widespread acclaim for its positive image of our area.
